Firstly, it should be stated that I believe that women and children everywhere have the right to live a life free from abuse and poverty, and to achieve their full potential regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, age, or sexual orientation. In this regard my most recent experience is in Domestic Violence Services working with women and children who are or have been victims of domestic abuse. I’m passionate about equality, human rights and social justice. Prior to this I have had over 10 years more general experience working in Social Care supporting vulnerable adults, including working in mental health settings. My responsibilities as a wife and mother to two girls have not prevented me from achieving a BA(Hons) in Public Services at Manchester Metropolitan Universty, followed by a PGCE in Safeguarding Adults, Law, Policy and Practice at Keele University. I have a Diploma in Communications, and have continued my CPD through various short courses during my present employment, including MARAC, Modern Slavery, Safeguarding, and Child Abuse.
