At Pearls of Cheshire we partner with and benefit from the support of several local organisations who share a vision with us.
Working together we aim to create a warm, safe and supported environment for people from all walks of life and parts of the world, regardless of backgrounds and experiences in life.
We know nobody can do everything alone but with the support of a community everyone can reach their true potential.
Established in December 2010 Silklife Foodbank continue supporting and helping their community today.
Set up in response to seeing Macclesfield's growing need for emergency food boxes, they provide five day's worth of nutritional, non-perishable food for those who have fallen on hard times and are in need of help.
Working with a strong local network of local support agencies and frontline care providers they ensure they can reach out to those in need.
Silklife Foodbank is run by Silklife Church and the support and generosity of the church members as well as outside donors is always greatly received however large or small.

Cheshire East Council is our main funder, helping us to help women and children from the local community to achieve their full potential, reach personal goals and create the future they dream of.
The National Lottery Community Fund sponsored our Sewing Project allowing us to provide a long and short course of sewing lessons with an experienced tutor. Without this funding members of our community would not have learned this empowering life skill, and thanks to the National Lottery Community Fund we were able to gift the sewing machines to our participants at the end of the course.
This proved to be an affirming and confidence building project which has allowed members of our community to begin their own businesses from home!
Launched in late 2022 Warm PlaCEs is a scheme put in place by Cheshire East Council in response to the cost of living crisis we are currently facing.
Warm PlaCEs acknowledges that there will be many families struggling to pay their energy bills and facing food poverty and aims to provide access to safe, warm spaces for anyone in need.
Some of these Warm PlaCEs will not only proved a warm place to sit for those in need, but also a hot drink or food. For more information and a full list of Warm PlaCEs across Cheshire East, including where a hot drink or food can be provided please follow the link below.
There are also grants available to those who apply to become a Warm PlaCE. If you think you can help please follow the link:
